OSR Alumni Association presents

Third annual conference

How is change changing? Explore new patterns of practice.

Leading change with head and heart

with Lismary de Lemos and Brit Poulson

Is logic getting you nowhere? Tap into your heart and bring your whole self to your work.

To move through accelerated change with energy and results, organizations are realizing the need to invite creativity, possibility and adaptability. Inviting head and heart to the conversation is an emerging trend in the workplace.

For this workshop, bring examples of your own situations when leading change. You’ll explore the different perspectives that appear when your heart is at play. You’ll reveal your sense of self that is part of your real-life case study. And you’ll see the parts of yourself that are not coming forth in your work.

You'll have the opportunity to re-envision your practice by utilizing heart as a resource. Miles and miles and miles of heart.

Presenting question

How do we invite heart in and let it operate in us in partnership with head?

Your workshop take-aways

  • Identify the ways you are coming from a limited perspective and the additional resources to access within yourself
  • An exercise to access your heart
  • Leadership Map: tool to quickly organize complex situations by separating intentions, facts, and reactions.
