Changing boundaries

How can we support youth participation in change?

with Greg Williamson and members of the Black Hills High School Student Engagement Team

Here’s a workshop full of hope for the future — young people driving whole-systems change.

See what inviting clients inside the boundary of change efforts can mean for our schools, social systems, and for your organization.

Greg talks about the role of student engagement to improve learning in the current issue of Northwest Education. more

Engaging others starts with engaging ourselves. Changing community starts with building community. In this 90-minute workshop, student and adult presenters will model building a learning community to help you plan your own engagement efforts.

You will investigate your own story of learning and engagement — individually and as a group. Strategies from systems thinking, appreciative inquiry, change theory, and other areas are applied to the stories and skills you bring into the room.

Your workshop take-aways

  • See new potential for growth and renewal in your organization by focusing on key principles of client engagement
  • Access your own story of learning
  • Intervention planning tools that maximize learning and commitment for your clients
  • Numerous examples of young people changing the content and process of their own learning, and working in effective youth-adult partnerships
