What if the way you move through space reflects the way you move through life?

What might you learn about yourself as an operating system (or your clients and their organizations) through observing and exploring in the realm of the non-verbal?

Drawing from the work of Dr. Stuart Heller, you will use a Samurai decisiveness movement simulation to gain new insights into how you consider the possibilities of a moment, choose and move into action, accept what is now, and move ahead. Heller’s Five Rings model helps you to connect Western psychological models with the concrete teachings of the ancient Asian warriors and sages.

With new awareness, you will discover different choices for engagement with a changing world.

Your workshop takeaways

  • Insight into your non-verbal habits and patterns in relation to choice and change;
  • Practice using the Samurai decisiveness movement simulation as a non-verbal assessment tool;
  • How to use the simulation as a structure for practice in support of developing capacities that are desired but not fully developed.

The seven steps of Samurai decisiveness

Steps For the action to be powerful, clear and effective…
1. Open to the possibilities it has to be fresh, untainted by habit or old decisions.
2. Choose the one for now you have to choose the one and only one possibility for now.
3. Commit to action you have to hold to your choice while preparing the way for the release of power.
4. Release the power you have to trust that you have made the correct choice for now and have prepared the way appropriately.
5. Advance you must step forward into the world that has been changed by your action.
6. Accept the consequences you must accept the consequences of your action.
7. Relax you have to let go of it when it is finished.
